Before I talk about this collection I need to apologize. I haven't blogged in quite a while as I have been so busy at work that I was usually falling asleep in the evening, before I could even type a couple of sentences.
But today I am determined to finally share the "I love Kente" collection from the Paris-based label INYÜ. Kente is a very popular woven fabric from West Africa that was traditionally associated with royalty. Once the INYÜ team had selected the Kente as a signifier for their new collection, "their challenge was to redefine this strong print into a cool and trendy clothing line, for men and women."
So what do you think - did they succeed? Are you in love with Kente as well as with the new collection? Please comment below!
